Tough, Durable and Heat Resistant Our 3M™ Cubitron II™ Cloth Belt 967F incorporates a grinding aid for superior performance on titanium and other heat-sensitive materials and is recommended for dry or wet grinding in medium to high pressure applications such as random grinding systems or roll grinding applications. Heavyweight backing provides improved adhesion and shelling resistance over other cloth backings to support demanding applications and a consistent cut-rate, and is resin-bonded to withstand high heat and pressure. Common applications are descaling, gate removal, high pressure grinding, intermediate finishing, parting line removal, and shaping. The 3M™ Cubitron II™ Polyester Cloth Belt 967F common applications are descaling, gate removal, high pressure grinding, intermediate finishing, parting line removal, and shaping. It is ideally suited for stripping chrome from old parts as they are being rebuilt The Science of 3M™ Precision Shaped Grain 3M™ Cubitron II™ Polyester Cloth Belt 967F’s Precision Shaped Grain (PSG) signifies a major advancement in abrasive technology. PSG is a ceramic mineral designed using a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. 3M scientists then went one step further and precisely engineered the mineral to form uniform triangular shaped grains that continually fracture into super-sharp points and edges that slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or "plowing" like conventional abrasives. PSG creates a super-fast cut and lessens heat build-up in the workpiece, reducing heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. Moreover, because PSG stays cooler and sharper, it lasts longer than conventional abrasives. Get the Belt You Need Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of different belt machines. This belt is designed for many different applications on a variety of metal substrates. At 3M we offer a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sanders. Wider belts are used in conjunction with wide belt sanders to grind, dimension metal and stainless steel panels. Other applications include gate removal on castings on heat sensitive metals like Inconel and cobalt chrome.
